The Amazing Eight Times Table!

The 8s are just doubles in disguise!

🤩 You Already Know Almost All of It!

You've done so much work already! Because of the other tables, you only need to learn **two** new facts: 8x8 and 8x9.

8 x 1 is the same as 1 x 8 = 8

8 x 2 is the same as 2 x 8 = 16

8 x 3 is the same as 3 x 8 = 24

8 x 4 is the same as 4 x 8 = 32

8 x 5 is the same as 5 x 8 = 40

8 x 6 is the same as 6 x 8 = 48

8 x 7 is the same as 7 x 8 = 56

The 'Double, Double, Double' Trick!

This is the secret to the 8s table! Multiplying by 8 is the same as **doubling a number three times**.

How to solve 8 x 6:

Step 1: Double 6 👉 12.

Step 2: Double 12 👉 24.

Step 3: Double 24 👉 48.

So, 8 x 6 = 48!

🤏 The Finger Trick (for the new facts!)

You can use the finger trick for the new facts like 8x8 and 8x9!

Let's solve the first new fact: 8 x 8

1. Touch the Fingers: Touch your '8' fingers (middle fingers) together.

Step 1: Fingers touching for the 8 times 8 trick

2. Count the Tens: Count the touching fingers and all fingers below them. You have 6 fingers in this group. That's 60.

3. Multiply the Ones: Count the fingers *above* the touching ones. You have 2 fingers on the left and 2 on the right. Multiply them: 2 x 2 = 4.

4. Add Them Up: 60 + 4 = 64. So, 8 x 8 = 64!

🎨 The Last Digit Pattern

The last digit of the answers follows a repeating pattern that goes backwards from 8!

8
6
4
2
0

The pattern 8, 6, 4, 2, 0 repeats for 8x6, 8x7, 8x8, 8x9, and 8x10!
